Ok everyone noes that there are replica jdm eg and ek headlights which come with black housing. I know the jdm ef headlights are not and they are completely differend ya yaya ya...I don't care for the jdm ef headlights.....I have two sets of usdm headlights...the ones on my car and the ones thay used to be on my ef....so I baked them and opened them up...I have painted headlights before....the problem I am having now is that I'm not sure what part of the headlight is the reflector for lights and whaty isn't. Has any one everpainted ef headlights?

You can't tell which part is the reflector? The bit behind the globe...

Unlike other years, 4g's don't really have a housing inside the headlight. It is all reflector. I painted it black on my hatch, looked real cool, cut light output down ~30% though.

can i see a pic of what your guys headlights looked like after paint.

nvm dont do it...it sucks....i did it and even with 30000K HID's you could not see anything..sorry no pics

Yeah. don't do it unless you plan on doing a projector retrofit.
No Reflection=low light output obviously.
