B2/z6 mini me swap help
Hello im doing a mini me swap on my d15b2 block with the jdm d15b vtec head (same as the d16z6) in my 89 ef sedan. im pretty sure that everything is done except i noticed there is 6 plugs on the wiring harness for the old intake mani sensors and only 4 sensors on the new intake mani i keep reading everywhere that i will have 3 sensor plugs leftover but i cant figure out which ones also on the new IM there are 2 sensors that have 3 pins(map and icav i think) whereas on my harness there is only 1 plug for a sensor with 3 pins. Any and all help would be appreciated feel free to correct me if i left something out thanks for your time

The 2 3pin sensors on the new manifold are tps and map and I think the 3pin you have is tps and your map sensor should be mounted on the firewall new ones on the throttle body so take out your old one and plug the plug into map on top of throtle body...you should be able to find a writeup with pics to sort out the other plugs

Re: B2/z6 mini me swap help
Thank you for clarifying that . OK. So everything is wired up, i got fuel to the injectors i got spark, but when i try to turn it over it cranks and it sounds like it wants to fire but it doesnt. It just keeps cranking. Ive got the obd0-obd1 jumpeharness plugged into my p28 ecu. Only thing i could think of why its not turning over is something to do with the distributor wiring maybe? Ive got the td42 . A diagram of how to wire this into my harness would be helpful. Do i wire into my obd0 ecu plugs? Or maybe some of the extra wires that came with my jumper harness are for the dizzy? Any and all help or suggestions are appreiciated going on day 5 or 6 of this swap im hundreds in the gutter and just want to be done with it already. Thanks in advance..

The one that it came with. Let me guess, you were going to say that i need an adjustable can gear to compensate for being half a tooth off

Re: B2/z6 mini me swap help
Still it has to be something more than just that. Surely it would still run even if it was 1/2 a tooth off. Like i said earlier it was running for a minute but not now for some reason. If it makes any difference my check engine light is on solid with the p28 ecu in. I have a pr4 laying around so i plug that it turn the ignition to the first click, all the lights in thte dash turn on but then after a momen the check engine light turns off and stays off. Ive got spark check all the plugs with a spark plug tester ive got fuel i hear fuel pump prime and after i crank it and take spark plugs out they all smell like gas. Ive got air coming out the exhaust while cranking. Im running out of ideas, if ive got fuel and spark then maybe its something to do with the air? Maybe a bad iacv?

Figured out what the problem was had to add an extra fuel pump to get high enough fuel pressure for mpfi to work
