91 Civic DX no spark no fuel problem
so i've been working on this 91 civic for almost a week now. The car was running when i showed up to work on it but died while i was there. So i checked the fuel line and it wasn't getting any fuel. I also checked spark and didn't have that either. I jumped the fuel pump wires and it turned on so fuel pump is good. I did some tests on the distributor, igniter, coil and couldn't find a problem the distributor is recieving power. The check engine light comes on and there's power on the plug in the ecu. I replaced the distributor with a used one and after that the fuel pump turned on but still no spark. Thinking that this used distributor had a bad igniter i replaced it with the one from the original distributor. After that it fired up immediatley! I noticed the LED on the ecu was flashing a code 16 which is supposed to be fuel injectors. Up until today it has been starting consecutivley every time we try. It did die a couple of times when we road tested it, but I attributed that to faulty fuel injectors. The car always started back up within half hour or so. Today i went to go change the fuel injectors after the project was done i went to start it and now there's no fuel pump or spark again. I've been over and upside down in this car troubleshooting problems. Unfortunately i'm not to familiar with honda's but at this point i'm starting to think a problem with the ecu. I've just never seen a problem where you don't get either fuel or spark. Maybe if anybody has an idea of what's going on here you could send me some advice. Thanks

Re: 91 Civic DX no spark no fuel problem
Well where they say in the chilton's book that the main relay should be it's not there. They recommend looking by the kick panel on the passenger side by the hood release switch. All that is there is a 4 prong relay not your typical rectangular 8 prong honda main relay. I didn't know there were resistors for the injectors it only has two and is the D15 model i do believe. Where are the resistor(s) located?
