What are you talking about on the top of the manifold? The vacuum port? Also - don't run the car with out at least blocking the hoses off. You will have a massive vacuum leak and drivability will suffer. Why don't you just replace the hose? You can buy bulk hose for around $1 a foot...

Re: 90 civic lx dpfi - PCV question
i was told the catch can can be open but the top needs to be closed with a nut or something but i also read that in a way its not good because the pressure and would cause gaskets to go out sooner than usual so im thinking just getting a hose from the junk yard and just spray both pcv's with carb cleaner and put everything back but if i wanted to put the nut what size is it and whats the pros n cons about it thanks

Why would you ask if you can ask a question when you wasted the space with a question asking permission for the question wanting to be asked?
It's your thread, rather than clogging the forum with pointless threads, ask away in the one you already started...

Re: 90 civic lx dpfi - PCV question
ok so i was having to top off fluid every few days or long drives.
theres no leaks on the floor, i had some extra time so i dis-assembled the intake manifold and cleaned it out with carb cleaner.
also checked all the hoses, 2 where replaced and one of those where re-routed to the top of dpfi manifold coming from water pipe.
the adapter wich those hoses connect to had a small hole from rust so thats why i re-routed. fluid doesnt seem to go down as much as before but i had a friend tell me to bring it by the shop he can pressure test it for me so i was wondering whats reasonable for a tip $5 or $10 and has any one used prestone radiator flush? i need to flush my system after the check up n fill with new radiator fluid for the protection of my car.

search on how to do those, it's pretty easy. if the car has ever over-heated, the thermostat is probably bad.
