I had the same problem with my car and I had to bend it open enough to get to the bolts that are holding the hood down in the front...released those and then picked up the hood along with the hole that the striker pin locks into. That's only cause I didn't care about my hood since I had just hit a deer and was going to buy a carbon fiber hood anyway. Good luck with yours man. Peace
