what is the point of that swap? isn't the stock z6 stronger than the zc?

that depends if it is a sohc or dohc,Dohc is a goot engine for turbo but you need fab a IM for it and in general its hard to get aftermarket parts for the dohc.

correct me if im wrong... but this is going to be a street setup right?

the higher compression d16z6 will spool a turbo faster than a dohc zc will. i would rather have the z6...

It will be a direct bolt in if u get a 92+ Dohc Zc motor. I have one in my car right now (94 motor) and i have absolutely no problems (i have a 93 cx). u have the si tranny and ecu so u will be running just fine if u decide to do this swap. Also the zc is rated at 130-135hp where the si is 125 i beleive! Its a great motor for the price!

NO NO NO....that was an excited comment/question.

I doubt it's lower than the Z6. But 9.2:1 is already plenty low for boost. I wouldn't even build an engine for boost with less than 9.5:1 anyways.

Does anyone know the compression of DOHC ZC?
