y8 manifold on a y7 engine

Default y8 manifold on a y7 engine

i plan to swap a y8 exhaust manifold to a y7 engine, so my question is , all i need is the manifold or do i have to buy something else to make the swap?, any help really appreciated

make sure it comes with the IAC, and the IAC plug for a y8. You will need to rewire the IAC. The IAC in the y8 is 2 wire, while the y7 has a 3 wire. There's one wire that gets deleted....i cant remember which one. I wanna say the orange one, but im not 100%

I don't think he's swapping a motor. Sounds more like just the exhaust manifold.

Anyways, the D16y7 exhaust mani has a cat converter directly connected to it. If you swap it with a y8, you'll also need a catalytic converter and extend the 2 o2 sensors if needed. The y8 exhaust mani will reach the "B" pipe but then you'll have no cat, so you'll need to have a muffer shop fit one in there. Good luck.

You'll need a cat from an EX if you want no check engine light. Use a cat, dont be a jerk.
