Where to get power for power window wiring
Hi, I am trying to do my wiring for power windows in a 99-00 hatch without the floor harness. I have followed monicle's diagram:
But how do I get the power for those 3 wires that say to use 20amp fuses?

I cant see the writing on the pics but i could answer your question.
Whenever you add a fuse all your doing is running the wire like normal, but then you run either A. Fuse holder:
Or B. get 2 female "push on" connectors and add the fuse (kind of like this):
If you need to do more then one you could actually pick up a fuse box panel which is like this (i have one in my car for the engine):
Connect one end to one source and another to the other to where you want it to go and put one of those between for your fuse. When you start to get to bigger fuses power then youll want to up the gauge wire. But i use 16ga on almost everything so you should be fine with that as well.

Yeah, thats what I was kind of thinking. But I thought there may be something in the fuse box I should/could be using. I hate jimmy-rigging stuff

You could use the optionals in the fuse panel for your power source. But for there being a spot for the power windows already i dont know. I dont see why there wouldnt be but because you dont have the dash/floor harness your kind of making it hard to do. Now if you get the dash/floor harness im sure you could use the fuse panel fuses.

Thats also what I was thinking. I'm thinking the floor harness would plug into the fuse box and make those fuse spots active. Because right now, I tested the supposed power window spots with a voltmeter and they weren't getting power.
