tranny shifting problems at high rpms
i have an eg coupe with an type r. and when i rev it to like 8000 or above, the clutch pedal sorta falls half way to the floor board and then ill step on it and shift into the next gear.
but then when im in the gear it just revs like its in neutral then after a second or two it catchs and starts to take off.
Whant could be the problem, i already bled the clutch! lol

i just had a similar problem when i did a new swap on my car with a different clutch. rebleed the slave cylinder and clutch fluid then adjust the pedal adjustment nut under the dash... that is what keeps your pedal from falling to the floor or having too much free play. does your car have cruise control? if it does and its not engaging its because the adjustment nut is out of adjustment.

also forgot to add that sometimes its hard as hell to put in gear at a dead stop and i have to pump the pedal to go into gear, but just driving around crusing it shifts fine.

It sounds like you have 2 problems. 1st problem you have a bad clutch master/slave cylinder and or air in the lines that is the only thing that will cause the pedal to need to be pumped up to build enough pressure to sift into gear. 2nd sounds like you also have a clutch going out at 8 grand you are putting a boat load of force on the clutch and it is starting to slip. I bet if left unchecked it will get worse and worse until the car will not go at all

Re: tranny shifting problems at high rpms
well i changed both the slave and master and its the same thing. But before i changed the slave i was messing with the fork(arm) on the front of the tranny and i was able to move (wiggle) it a little, Is that normal? im starting to thing the pressure plate is bad cause my clutch pedal is real soft, softer than stock. feedback pleez!

hey bro you are looking a weak clutch assembly..... it sounds like the pressure plate has gave out and not working correctly..... i would just change the clutch with a staged clutch and that should take care of it..... and try not revin the engine to 8000rpms and then dumping the clutch cause over time you are going to cause more problems then you want to deal with and also you will not keep a clutch or flywheel in the car very long.... and you will also be changing axles very often.....
