Can't turn my shock body.......frustrated !!
I found out I use Omni street coilover couple weeks ago
So today I start trying to raise the coilover and come out w/ couple questions
My goal is to 1) raise the coilover height 2)Preload the coilover w/o taking them out in case the previous owner of my car didn't do it
Now I face a really serious problem, besides the rear corner on driver side, I can't never turn the shock body
The front passenger corner the shock body turns when I use the lowering wrench to twist the spring perch ring
the rear passenger corner shock body never ever turn at al
I put a little WD-40 on the shock body edge as the omni customer service hotline told me
but doesn't seems working at all
I'm now really frustrated.....
Please help
Thanks
Now I can't drive anywhere

Re: (joe.wong321)
It's way too low.....
OK, here is wt I did
1. flush the 19mm bolt on top
2. jack up the car and place jack stand underneath it
3. then I unlock No. 2 ring in the picture
4. loosen no. 1 ring til the spring is not touchin the pillow mount
5. tighten no. 1 ring til the spring is barely touch the pillow mount again (make sure is not too tight from previous owner
6. tighten no.2 ring to lock the spring perch
7. loosen no.3 ring
8. turn no.4 (shock body) to desired height
9. after step eight, the spring might be loosen a little from the pillow mount again. so I loosen no.2 ring. tighten no.1 ring til the spring barely touch the mount again then lock it again
10. lift the car back to the ground and then tighten the 19mm bolt..done
the problem is beside the rear driver side corner (I'll take picuture of it later)
I can't turn the shock body no.4 on the other coilovers
the front passenger shock body turns when I tried to tighten no.1 ring (make me know the shock body there is not TOTALLY stuck at least)
so wt should I do ? just get the PB Blaster and try ?

Re: (joe.wong321)
I'm not following you either. So, you have full coilovers and you're trying to move the threaded shock body out of the lower collar that connects to the shock fork/rear lca? Have you tried gently tapping the strut with a rubber mallet?? There could be some pebbles stuck in the threading.
Just my $.02

It's just not moving cuz of the dirt, dust, and grime that has built-up directly above it. Plus, there's probably rust caked in there too! Try penetrating lube/oil.
