Default Temp Gauge Problem

I have owned my 92 Civic lx for 4 years and ever since I had it the temp gauge has never worked. Every single needle and light works except the Temp.

I had overheating issues due to a stuck thermostat (reservoir filled and overflowed when engine was hot). I jumped the temp sensor to no avail. I don't think it's a fuse problem but I will check them.

What are my options? Can I find a used cluster and replace the temp gauge that way?

Any help is appreciated

Have you bled the cooling system?

The 1-wire sending unit is located below the distributor:

Thanks for the reply.
I have done the gauge test and it did not move.
The fan works, thermostat works, coolant is bled.
Any other ideas?

If the Yel/Grn wire has continuity between the sending unit and cluster, then replace the cluster.

A search should lead you to the discovery of a downloadable 92-95 Civic service manual. (HT members are not allowed to post such links)
