Well it's a 95 DX Civic, w/ a recently installed 97 D16Y8 engine. At first it was running the old D15 cam gear on it, which has the same number of teeth as the Y8 cam gear, but the keyway is slightly off. So the Y8 cam gear was installed, but the cam was not turned at all during the install, so the camshaft remained in the same spot as it was before with the D15 cam gear. That's why I think the camshaft was off by a tooth. When the crankshaft was set to TDC, the UP marker on the camshaft pointed slightly forward, instead of straight up.
