:: stock radiator fan cfm ::
does anyone know how much cfm the stock civic radiator fan pushes? i am looking to upgrade my radiator fan to a low-profile fan, but i want one that pushes more cfm than stock. thanks.

Larger radiators will do much more than a fan.
I.E. Dual Core Del Sol VTEC radiators. Handle 100% more coolant, cost $100 from Autozone, and are a direct bolt in replacement part.

Like Spade said, get a del sol VTEC radiator.....$99 from Autozone. Great quality, and mine had a lifetime warranty. While you're there, pick up a Hayden slim-line fan. They run anywhere from $60-85 depending on what size you get. It saves you a couple of inches in room over the stock fan.

The FAL (flex a lite) fans will be more than plenty.
model 120 (puller) 1250cfm
model 140 (pusher) 1250cfm
Puller fans are more effective than pusher fans but a pusher fan will leave LOTS of room between the radiator and engine.
I have a dual core del sol radiator coupled with a FAL pusher fan...works great

I went to the junkyard and got a 96-2000 ford taurus v6 13" electric fan for 30 bucks and made a fan shroud and bracket with scrap bar stock laying around the shop, pictures posted shortly. The fan is a 2 speed fan that spikes about 75 amps when first kicked on then drops to 30 amps. I have my fan wired reversed polarity with oem honda female connecter spliced to taurus oem connecter. the low speed kicks on with normal temps of vehicle but when im at the track i have high speed wired to a 30 amp friendly switch and a 30 amp inline fuse. mounted fan as a pusher not a puller due to 4" dp. Fan blows crazy air about 3200 cfm on low speed and about 5000 cfm on high speed. it is worth all the work and time taken to find the fan and make a shroud and bracket.
