spark plug wire boots stuck on spark plugs
Help. i ripped the spark plugs wire off and now these long black wire boots are stuck onto the spark plugs. I try twisting and pulling on it with long noise plier but it still stuck. Got 2 out but 2 are still stuck. Any help is appreciated.

Re: spark plug wire boots stuck on spark plugs
what if the rubber or plastic black pieces is melted onto the spark plugs? i got one off by just turning the black rubber booth with the needle nose plier while the spark plug is still stuck onto the black rubber pieces. the others two are just turning freely no matter how much i try to unscrew them.

Yeah, the car overheated on me like 5 day ago while driving on the freeway. i got it fix by replacing one of the leaking hose. No problems with the car though. I guess i melted the spark plugs wires booth onto the spark plugs.

Do you see coolant if you remove your radiator cap? Do you have a compression tester that you can use in one of the cylinders you have gotten the spark plug out of?
And again, WD40, needle nose pliers, and patience. There is no quick and easy solution to this. The boot doesn't spin out, it just pops off. If it's spinning, then it isn't "stuck", you just need to pull more. Did the wire come out of the boot, or is it still down in there?

the wires are off the booth. i riped it off. it just the booth and the spark plugs. was able to take one off with the spark plug attack to the booth by turning it. it like it glue to it. but the other 2 won't budge. And yes i see coolant in my radiator.

Re: spark plug wire boots stuck on spark plugs
The rubber spins freely, but won't dislodge from the spark plug tube? That doesn't make any sense to me. If it were melted to the tube, it wouldn't spin. If it were melted to the plug, it would eventually undo the plug and it would come off. If it's spinning it isn't really connected to anything. Maybe it melted, pooled at the bottom or something?
Try pulling harder, hopefully the boot doesn't rip up into little pieces.
P.s. Get this at autozone, follow the directions carefully. It will help tell you if your engine is fried.

If you have long hooks, you may be able to hook into the boot and either yank it off or shred it more that it will break free with the needle nose pliers.
Like NARC said, there is not quick and easy solution for this, you will just have to keep fiddling until you get them off, could be hours of fiddling and cursing.
