Default Skunk2 manifold on y8?

ok I was wondering if anybody who has a y8 has put a skunk2 manifold and if you could post pictures of what and where you connected everything.
I put mine on with a h22 throttle body and my car is idling high and then revs up and down.
It has coolant.
Everything is plugged in.
I cleaned anything that I could clean.
And any whole is either plugged up of connected.

Help please!

There we go, much better. Is your CEL on? Does it work? Do you have the IACV installed and plugged in? Have you inspected the manifold for any nipples you didn't cap, and have you inspected all vacuum lines that are connected to make sure none of them came disconnected on the other end? Did you use all new gaskets for everything?

The high idle and rev fluctuation in your circumstance is most likely a vacuum leak.

Yes my cel works but I'm assuming I need to put a p28 ecu because the guy before me has it running off of a p06. But even then it wasn't doing it before

I asked 5 questions. Another poster asked 1. You answered only one of mine, and half answered the other person's 1. Do you see how this would make it difficult for anyone to help you? You need to answer all questions asked.

1. Yes my cel is on.
2.how do I know if my cel works and where is it located or what.? I'm still learning.
3.and yes I have I IACV installed and plugged in.
4.and I have every nipple plugged up or something connecting to it. And everything is ok and not leaking.
5.and all hoses are checked and good and not leaking or undone.
6.the only new gasket I've used is for the manifold as the h22 throttle body was already connected to it when I bought it from the other guy.

So this is how everything is. I know there is on plug unplugged and tommorow I'm going to the junk yard to look for the sensor. Not sure the name but to see if it works.
And when my car doesn't idling up and down it idles high at 1500RPM

Then you need to pull the codes. See this thread for a how to. If you don't know how to read the blink codes, then use your smartphone to record a video of them, upload that video to Youtube, and post it here so we can help you read them.

...What? You said your CEL is on. If it's on, then it works. If the CEL was off and working properly, then it would light up for ~3 seconds when you turn the key to ON(II), and then turn off. Because it isn't turning off, you are throwing codes you need to pull. See previous answer.

Good.

You say that, but your symptoms disagree. Have you done a smoke test to verify?

What about the IACV gasket/o ring, did you replace that? I don't see a MAP sensor on your throttle body, is that installed on the firewall, or hiding somewhere else? Is your throttle cable tight, or does it have a little slack? It should have just a tiny bit of slack.

Above all else, you need to pull CEL codes.

Ok I'll do it tommorow in the day time. Off to the gym. But I'll see how to pull codes and post a video invade if anything.
How do I perform the smoke test? And no I didn't replace those gaskets or o-ring. I have to remember what the map sensor is or located lol my friend was naming all them to me as he tried helping me today. And you can see in the picture I had to make a custom bracket for my throttle cable. So as of now it's has a little slack as it should.

A smoke test is easy. Get a shitload of smoke around the engine with it running, and see where it gets sucked in. You can buy a smoke machine at some parts stores, but a cheaper option would be to buy one from a party store, or buy some dry ice. Or, if you have a friend who vapes and can blow huge clouds, get them to come help you. Some people also use a can of starter fluid, but that involves spraying near where leaks might be coming from to find them.

Ok so I checked it and it's throwing Code 17 with is my speed sensor.
Which I replaced once but I guess I'll do it again.
But there's no way that's causing my idling to fluctuate like that or high idle right?

Ok so update. I found a small hose that was disconnected that belong to a sensor so i plugged that in.
And the it stop idling high. I also plugged up the throttle body with my hand and the car turned off. Which means it shouldn't be getting any air from where else to run right?

Also since the high idling has gone away, the fluctuating up and down has returned and goes down To 1000 rpm up to 1500rpm.
So any idea?

Remove, clean, and reinstall the IACV. If that doesn't help, then replace it. Like I said, vacuum leak was causing the high idle.

Is that what would be causing the idling to go up and down?

Since you changed your manifold, did you fill the coolant, and redo an idle learn procedure as well as make sure there were no bubbles in your coolant? (you can do both at the same time)

Also if you did not replace your intake manifold gasket...you may have a leak you cannot 'see' there.

This is actually a first where someone stated that the manifold needed a specific ecu to work....damn....

A dirty of bad IACV would cause idle surge, yes. As Caoboy mentioned, not properly bleeding your coolant can also cause it, but since you need to remove the IACV to clean it, and you'll need to do a bleed after removing your IACV, that was next on my list for you.

I checked with some carb cleaner. And it ended up being that I forgot to put my o-rings on lmao

AND THE IACV was bad so I replaced it instead of cleaning it.

BUT now when I'm at a stop sign and in drive my car starts to vibrate.
If I put it in park or neutral it goes away. It's only when I'm in drive. Any ideas?

What is your idle RPM with the car in park, and with the car in drive with your foot on the brake?

Replace the MAP sensor O ring gasket.

When in Drive the engine is under a load and the manifold pressure is changing.
When in neutral or park there is no load on the engine.

Leads me to think it's MAP sensor related. Intermittent vacuum leak at the MAP O ring.

Or his base idle could just be set incorrectly. Given that he's replaced the entire intake manifold and throttle body, let's start with the basics before we go telling him to take things apart again.
