Miata "Daisy" wheels on a 92-95 civic Coupe?
Had a quick question that I am getting mixed responses on.
I've searched the forums here, and google and can't come to a solid answer.
I have a 1994 Civic Ex Coupe with EM1 Si wheels on it that needs tires badly.. cant really afford brand new tires right now, so I found someone selling Miata "Daisy" wheels with good tires on them for 100.00. Now I know that the bolt pattern is the same (4 x 100) but the main question is about the center bore. I'm reading that the center bore on the miata wheels are smaller than the bore on the Civic, and that I would need to shave off some of the center of the wheel in order for it to fit properly.
Now, I did a little research and found that the Honda Bore is 56.10mm and the Miata Bore is 54.06, converting that to inches...
Honda bore: 56.10 mm = 2.20in
Miata bore: 54.06 mm = 2.12in
..with the difference being 0.08 inches.
What i'm asking is that with a difference THAT small, do I still really need to get the center of the wheels bored out? or will they work regardless. Now, i'm only doing this so that I can move the car from point A to point B so that I can get the clutch fixed and then roll on them until I can get new tires for the Si wheels (maybe a month or so).
any/all help would be appreciated.

These are the wheels in question.

Re: Miata "Daisy" wheels on a 92-95 civic Coupe?
getting hub rings wont do anything, the honda hub is bigger than the miata wheel hub. and yes, the wheel probably wont bolt down all the way, which may cause your wheel to fall off, killing a family of four. my suggestion would be to go get some cheap used tires to tide you over, instead of buying wheels and spending all that time and/or money on machining the miata wheel hub bigger.

I only see these wheels being a good temporary option if your getting them for free. Mostly cause they are ugly. For .08 clearance I would use a dremel with a small sanding drum on it, and I think you would only have to clearance the rear wheels.

you WILL need to bore out because if you dont the wheels dont sit right and it becomes wobbly..
dont question me how i know ....ive already tried miata wheels on a civic

yeah you have to bore em out,
I have miata rims on my mazda and tried swapping em over to my EK...it didnt' work.
but you definitely could grind em out to fit, they aren't missing that much
