Default help! brake problem

I just replaced the brake booster on my 93 civic. Now the brakes are completely locked up. The brake pedal won't go down any Is there any adjustment I have to make? There seems to be a locking nut between the booster and brake pedal, but adjusting it doesn't seem to help.

You may have gotten a BAD booster.? One of the MAIN signs of a bad booster is a hard pedal w/ really poor stopping.

on the brake booster did you hook up the vacum line to the intake manifold? make sure that the one way check valve from the hose to the brake booster is not plugged
