Default horrible gas mileage

k so i used to get around 18 mpg city... which is ridiculous to start with. then i got a cai, new spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap and rotor. i got a new fuel filter, i got a new pcv valve, and i dont know what else i have to possibly change to get better gas mileage. i filled up today and now im getting 16.7 mpg, WTF IS THAT. i need to know what can possibly be wrong with it right now, ive changed so much **** that have to do with gas mileage its unbelievable. respond ASAP!

O2 sensors can be bad, i would check that. Cat converter could be clogged, i would check timing just in case it jumped or anything. Make sure gap on spark plugs are correct also.

Was the car modified before you got it?

Bad or bigger fuel injectors?
