Weird problem... ECU or mechanical? (EJ8 w/ B16A2) Car idles like **** when parked in heated garage
Car: 1996 Honda Civic Si
Motor: 2000 B16A2
I had an issue of fluctuating idle when cold, but I got a new chip for my P28 and that fixed it. I've always had an issue when seldomly, as I start the car, it would hesitate to stay alive so I would hold throttle for around 15 seconds and it runs fine.
It never really happened in the fall until one day I made a 500KM trip; kind of ran until fuel was very low. Could it be a failing fuel pump?
I notice this happens when I drive outside in the cold, park the car in an underground heated garage for 3-4 hours.
