Default i never changed any engines?

well i have my grandfather help meand he used to work on race cars many years ago, but the point is that he told me if you wanna put any engine on this cars you have to do a lot of computer job. i wanted to know if that is true. i am planing to go with a gs-r engine on 1992-1995 civic coupe. i also wanted to know what kind of engine best fits the car. and if you know any place that i can get the engine with transmition and axels . well i spent so much time reading and watching what people did. i also wanna know if it costs a lot for programing the computer. my granfather doesnt belive in this engines, he is still living with the memories of those v8 huge engines on those heavy cars that you cant even handle good. . thanks for the help ( i am a 17 boy)

The BEST fit for you is a D series motor. But since that isn't a lot of power without the help from forced induction you should go with a B series motor. It all depends on what you want to do with your car. Personally I would choose the b18c1 like you are already thinking about. I don't know all the technical stuff on what you'll need but I'm pretty sure you can just SEARCH for the damn info.

well, a site i would suggest for a complete swap is Hmotorsonline.com. call them when you are ready to order the motor and he will answer ur questions. you will have to do some rewiring, and ecu work. they will send you an ecu with the motor. no programing will be needed.

and do some searchs in the hybrid forum. read up.

"i am a 17 boy"

WTF ?

If your talking about an EX model 92-95 the swap wiring wise is basic, 1 wire from the knock sensor to the d15 pin on the ECU - auto's are just a little more work - pin number might be different it's been awhile (SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND)

I would recommend you stick with what you have until you've maxed it out and then tube frame the car because if you really "Maxed" that engine out it's too fast for the street anyway

no just one wire, depending on the swap...... plug the new ecu in and off you go.
