exhaust: twin loop vs buddy club Spec IV
hello all:
I post this in General Discussion and Debate, but didn't get much input.
I am struggling between the twin loop (mugen) and buddy club spec IV, cat-back exhaust system:
twin loop
pros
- quiet (pretty sure about that)
cons
- expensive
- heavy (which may cost the shipping even more expensive)
Spec VI
pros
-light weight
cons
-loudness (? not too sure... not many people own one, it said it's quiet, but still....)
quietness & performance are the key things that I am looking for. Basic on the web information, I am attracted by the Spec IV, it's lighter and cheaper compare with twin loop... unfortunately I never hear the sound of it and no idea if it's THAT quiet or not.
input and comment r welcome..... and I only focus on these two only, so no other suggestion like apexi ws, rs-r ex mag, etc. please. thanks.

Re: exhaust: twin loop vs buddy club Spec IV (GP02A)
i dont think buddy club makes any quiet exhausts.i currently have a spec 3 on my car and it is loud!!! and a couple of my friends are running the spec 2 which is also very loud. but the buddy club exhaust is by far the lightest exhaust i have ever seen.i love mine and will never get rid of it.
if your looking for a very light racing exhaust i say the buddy club is the ****!

Re: (EkNineSpooner)
get 2.25" (or whatever size appropriate) exhaust piping from the cat back, install a resonator of the same size and place a 2.25" inlet/outlet stock-style muffler on the end.
Instant quiet, instant horsepower gains - you may not get the extra 1hp from a normal loud exhaust, but to me, it's worth it for the peace and quiet. With my header and intake, and the motor in general, it still gets loud if I want to rev it up past 4000rpm or so - but it sounds like a nice european car instead of like an average rice burner *shrug*.
