EVAP P1457 - Did troubleshooting....where is Purge Control Solonoid Valve?
OK 3 questions, i've got P1457 code, been getting it a few times now after i have it turned off.
I did the troubleshooting in the helms and its telling me to check the purge control valve, where is the purge control valve on a 2000 Civic Si? The shut valve is ontop of the canister in the engine bay, but doesn't say or show a pic of the purge control solonoid valve.
Also when doing these tests, when i did the first test, it didn't say to put the shut valve back in and goto the next test, but i assumed that is what i was supposed to do. After i do a certain test am I supposed to put the hoses back to the way they were?
Last but not least, when it had me check the vaccuum on a hose and i was supposed to keep the car at 3000rpm until fan kicked on, it said to put it into 1st (manual tranny) does it really need to be put into first gear? Will that change if it has vaccum or doesn't?

Just Googling the code to see what comes up - this doesn't sound good.

Anyway, the EVAP Purge solenoid should be inline with the hose coming from the charcoil cansiter leading to the intake manifold.
And yes, when going on to a different test, the test assumes things are back to stock.
I'm not sure about the 1st gear question - If the manual says to keep the engine at 3k until the cooling fan kicks on, it sounds like it [Helms] assumed the car was not moving and you were able to hear the cooling fan kick on.

I saw a sensor ontop of the fuel rail that said PCS, but i wanted to make sure that the PCS meant purge control solonoid.
