I guess you want to bolt-on a VTEC cylinder head onto a non-VTEC F-Series block? What year is your Accord? Best thing to do is, go over to the Accord forums and learn if the VTEC cylinder head swap is possible on a F-Series motor, then, come back over here once your done and we can help you out in the swap. Nothing is going to happen to your car except lots of torque and room for good power.

I'm not a newbie ignore the trial user bull, been on hondaswap for a while and decided to come over here.

IMHO, that is a worthless swap, only people that have money and really want to be unique would do that. Your gonna spend a **** load more money for a swap thats gonna put you lower in the chain than any B series swap let alone you could just have an SOHC-T for even cheaper.

What's gonna happen....your going to have all sorts of problems.

At least use a motor that can easily fit into your car and doesnt require 4000 worth of fabrication just to put the motor in, on top of the price of the motor in the first place. Then your gonna have a 6000+ dollar set up that pushes no more that 140 whp when you could've had that from a LS-T that could give your 200+ whp or a GSR or a Type R, or a....., or this, or that.....you get the point

dude, no offense or anything, but your topics are the lamest topics ive ever seen on this site and ive been here for a while. you need to do ALOT of research on how vtec works, what motors are equipped with vtec, and what vtec heads will work with certain honda blocks. not only that, but i think you also need to do some research on how engines work, period.

if you are going to post here, then try to sound the least bit educated in honda motors and how they function. im just saving you from nothing but being flamed, since you are, in fact, a newbie. now, go here, http://www.howstuffworks.com and read up on a couple things.

as for the whole header question, which is another topic you posted, read up on some magazines or websites that have dyno sheets for your car with that DC header.

a 2001 Civic is not exactly the car to work with if you want power, but if its all you have, then its cool to ask questions about what mods you should get and how these mods will help you. dont come here expecting to get every question you have answered.
