get a pipe....drill one hole in it....at the tip....put 14mm bolt through, then measure distance to offset hole....then drill another hole....and put 14mm bolt through....you have your own breaker bar!

crank the PSI to the max and get a higher torque air gun(350 ft/lbs or more). that will take that bolt out in no time....no other special tools needed! just a better air gun. trust me

pull off your starter

wedge a close ended wrench inbetween the flywheel teeth and the tranny housing

take big breaker bar and remove bolt

done

don't use any kind of extension, It takes torque away from the impact wrech, Just use a deep socket. Also Do you have your impact wrech turned to the most powerful setting?

Four steps:
(1) use a deep socket 17 mm i believe
(2) have someone slam on the brakes in 5th gear
(3) have someone else hold the flywheel still with a punch or pick of some sort, be careful to make sure its not on the thinnest part of the bell housing or it WILL crack
(4) get your strongest person to turn that torque wrench

I did it this way and am finally done with the minime. good luck!

the method of having someone stand on the brakes with it in gear worked for me. good luck on your swap, mine is still in progress. the motor rotates but wont start all the way.

I cant say anything that hasnt been said here...I got mine off after about 10 mins with an impact gun, 90psi, and WD-40. If that doesnt work...the answer is more torque meaning more PSI. Shops have like 150 psi on tap...so if nothing else works that's where you will end up

heres another one noone said: Take a piece of rope and take out the sparkplug in the number 1 cylinder. Make sure it is coming up on TDC (so no valves are open) and shove the rope in. crank the engine just a little bit until the piston can no longer move. Then impact the Bolt off.

the first time I changed my timing belt (long time ago) I had to use a 600+ ft pound air wrench to break that bolt loose.....
