Differences between USDM OBD2 and JDM OBD1 P30 intake manifolds (pics)
When I was doing research to try and figure out what the obd1 P30 b16a3 intake looked like I couldn't find any pictures that really showed any detail.
Well I finally got one that I needed for BAR and to help people I have taken some pictures of it.
HERE YOU GO...
These highlighted areas are what differ from the jdm manifold OBD1 and OBD2
The OBD1 manifold has a straight vaccume line nipple unlike the OBD2 manifold which is curved at a 90 degree angle facing the throttle body.
The jdm p30 intake manifold and the usdm OBD2 p30 intake manifold DOES NOT have this threaded hold for a sensor.
The OBD1 manifold does not have a veccume line nipple as shown in the highlited area. The OBD2 manifold has another 90 degree nipple facing in the forward direction towards the head.
As for the highlighted nipple in this picture the JDM OBD1 p30 intake manifold DOES NOT have this. It's blocked of (not drilled out)
The OBD2 p30 intake manifold DOES NOT have this highlighted sensor. It is blocked off (not drilled out)
HERE IS THE OBD2 P30 B16A2 INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE DIFFERENCES ARE HIGHLIGHTED FOR EASIER RECOGNIZATION.
Here is the 90 degree vaccume line
Here is the block off for the threaded sensor hole
The additional vaccume line that is on the OBD2 p30 intake manifold
The block off for the sensor

Re: USDM P30 (B16A3) OBD1 intake manifold
Additional pictures added. I will add more pictures of the obd2 manifold as soon as possible for more definition on the differences

Re: Differences between USDM OBD2 and JDM OBD1 P30 intake manifolds (pics)
Thank you so much. I just got another integra with jdm front end. And the guy thru in some steelies and a full vtec head for a ls vtec swap. I was looking for the p2t code on the intake mani and then seen the p30 code. I looked it up and got all this great ver awesome post with the pics that helped so much to clearly know I have a p30 obd2 intake mani.
I'm still not to sure what its out of the guy said b16 head with everything. It's a pr3-2 head and this p2t p30 intake with throttle body. I'm cleaning it up today and am hoping it fits right onto my b18b1 head. It has 332xxx km on it and I can clean this one and swap onto my car then do the lsvtec after. Thanks alot
