Carbon Fiber Fenders

Re: Carbon Fiber Fenders (sirhatchalot5)
A. I don't know...
B. Why?
C. You realize they save hardly any if any weight right?
It's kind of pointless to have cf fenders... metal ones don't weight much at all.

Alright I was going to go off on that... but I'll give you an opportunity to explain yourself... seeing as how you probobly know more about carbon fiber than me...
as far as I knew cf is stronger in 1 or 2 ways to steel but not in the important ways... IE not good for energy absorbtion in an accident... sure you can jump on them and they spring back but so does some fiberglass... doesn't mean I want that to be all that's in between me and death...

Re: Carbon Fiber Fenders (NonovUrbizniz)
true they aren't as protective as steel. actually get titanium fenders... light and strong lol Would only be like ooohhh 6 grand a set lol.
But a good 3-5 layer cf anything will be much stronger than stock crap. (Poly eurothane) and much stronger than fiberglass/"Carbon Fiber" fill -- one layer of carbon fiber on a fiber glass (hell im just going to call that **** "carbon fibber")

Re: Carbon Fiber Fenders (Ninety2SiR)
I don't think they look good because its kinda out of place. The whole car is one color and the you have your bumper the same color then the fenders are different. If its for show points after the whole: "OOOOOO its carbon fiber" thing, it'll look no better then unpainted fenders.
