i have some bronze rota c8's. is there a way i can get the lip polished??? if so can anyone tell me of a shop in the bay area that will do it? i dont really know of any.

thats untrue...ive seen lots of people polish the lips on 1 piece wheels...Under the coat on rotas is a polished finish...just use some paint stripper on the lips, polish it and clearcoat it.

very interesting i didnt know that they all had a polished finish under the coating. I learn something new everyday

Be very carefull if you decide to go with stripping off the original coat of paint and polishing out the lip. I've seen guy's attempt to try that, and in attempt screw their rim up. I would advise you to tape up the rim very carefully and percise. It's tedious, but i've seen it done. If you don't tape it up nicely your finished product will look like ****. btw, people have used aircraft stripper to take the paint off.
