Bolt Extractor Stuck in a Bolt, Stuck in a Caliper. Help!!!!
The title is basically it. I had the lower bolt break off in the passenger side caliper of my 94 DX. Tried using an extractor and they broke off into the bolt.
It is just enough to grab with vice grips but doesn't budge. I've used a can of liquid wrench and more wd-40 on top of that.
Is there something I'm missing from this picture?
The same thing is happening to my rotors on that side too. Drilled out the screws and used more liquid wrench and nothing is happening. (even busted out the crow bar)
Any suggestions to help this madness?

Jack the car up high, put the death grip on it with the vise grips, and put a wrench on the end of the vise grips, then try to turn it out.

You sure your going the right way of the bolt, not the way your looking at the caliper. In other words if your looking at the caliper from the side of the car you have to go like your putting it on. I catch alot of these guys that i teach doing that and it cracks me up everytime. Luckly though they dont break any.

i was under the car when it happened, laying square under the wheel.
plus the caliper is off my car now in a pathetic attempt to re-drill it out, which isn't working.

i think you need to heat it up, and be carefull for the heat may travel and mellt rubber or plastice, or seals.

i think heating it up is your best bet, right now, make sure u don't heat the broken bolt, heat the metal surrounding the bolt. good luck

aren't they a bit useless if the caliper won't hold the pads?
i'm just going to try and junk one tomorrow

if the bolt extractor broke off in the bolt the only way to get it off is to weld a nut onto the extractor then back it off
reason is that the extractor is harded steel and you wont be able to drill it out
