Default B18b 02 sensor wiring question

So, I'm a cheep bastard and I don't want to buy a new 02 sensor, the plug fore the harness is 1 wire and there are 4 wires on the sensor, is there anyway i could wire them together in order for my 02 sensor to function properly and I can pass inspection, or am I asking the impossible.

You'll have to run the other 3 wires. Otherwise you're going to throw an O2 heater sensor code.

Is the ECU for your Civic OBD-0, OBD-I or OBD-II? If your (1-wire O2 sensor) harness is matched to your ECU, then maybe you can do what this guy did:

I'm guessing (and guess really is the right word here since the OP never mentioned what year the car was (or even what the car was) or the year of the engine) that the OP has a '92 - '95 CX (only '92 - '00 Civic to come with a single wire unheated O2 sensor) All OBD1/OBD2 Integra ECUs look for a 4 wire O2 sensor.

You're totally right about being able to use a 4 wire heated O2 sensor with an ECU that looks for a single wire O2 sensor though, a lot of guys running D15B Vtec swaps with the proper P08 ECU do that.

PR4 OBD1 ecu, it's a 95 jdm b18b, It's the only thing holding me back from passing inspection, I might try that idea 94eg8

I think the problem with that idea above, unless I'm missing something, is that the ECU will still be looking for the heater circuit thereby throwing a CEL. If your state doesn't care about check engine lights for OBD1 you'll be in the clear. This trick will make the O2 function and will pass visual but you'll still have a CEL unless you can trick the ECU somehow.

OBD1 PR4 looks for a heated O2 sensor, you're going to have to add the other 3 wires, see pic below:

I don't have vtec though, Would it still work since I can't add those extra two wires from the picture on the left? I just want the CEL to go away so I can pass inspection

Yes it'll work, ignore the vtec wiring part.
