95 civic headlight wiring question..

95 civic headlight wiring question..
well my socket to plug into the headlight got burned and broke off. so i got an after market one..thing is i cant seem to ge tthe wiring right. on the new socket it has a blue, black, and white wire. on the car wiring the wires are 1 black, and 2 red....so how do i get te thing to work...sorry if the question is a little tough...help is needed and appreciated

i wired it up but for some reason only my highbeam works.anyone know why this is? tips is needed.i tried a lot of other combination but still only the highbeam works

do you have the stock harness?
i know there is a red, black, red/brown?
if you havent figured it out by this afternoon ill look at my wiring.
also, when i rewired mine, my highbeams only worked as well then i checked my fuses. so check your fuses

Just match it up to your old one. Place the sockets side by side and match the colors up and wire it up. Make sure you strip the leads of course, make good contact and test them. Then solder and heat shrink or re-wire loom. Pretty basic stuff here.

no i dont have my stock harness it got to hot and cracked.....also it might be the fuse thanks i never thought about that. let me put in a new fuse today if that doest work ill let you guys know

no just the driver side harness broke off and crumbled..passenger is still fine...the thing is low beam and high beam works fine on passenger but on the driver just the high beams work..i checked the fuse and its not the fuse

^^^^not really see where you are going with your answer im a little confused sorry..i cant match it up with my old one because the color are totally different

i'd bet your headlight bulb's low beam is blown. it's always the obvious that's overlooked. swap bulbs with the working side and find out if you're still stumped. at least eliminate it before you drive yourself nuts. apologize if you've already checked this, not trying to insult your intelligence.

So you're telling me you haven't just though of matching the wiring up with the working side since you said you can't seem to get the wiring right?
