94' lx civic/00' b20b swap - Odd code 43 help/input needed
Ok code43 fuel system...
Ecu is a chipped bod-1 Ls Ecu running euro Ls program
So a little background I bought the car with a blown motor so I have no history on the car. I swapped in a b20b and it was idling high (1800 rpm). I cleaned the iacv and fitv. It was still idling high so I recalibrated the tps and now it idles almost perfect on startup.
But if I first start it up and let it sit after about 3 minutes it throws a code 43 and the idle drops and car has roaming idle and almost dies. If I turn the car off and restart the car there is no code but it will still have roaming idle ( less than 1k rpm). If I start it and drive I have no performance issues at all it pulls hard. And when I come to a stop it idles fine. It never throws a cel any other time. Only when I let it sit in one place and idle.
I have gone thru the code 43 diag. It led me to "possible" Ecu problem but I don't have another good Ecu to swap. Also before I did the diag. I bought a brand new denso o2 sensor and I still had the same problem.
Even tho the code 43 diag. Only points to o2 sensor, white wire, or Ecu these all are ok. I asked a local import shop and looked here on ht and see that other people say it could be fpr, injectors, fuel pump, or main relay. What should be my next move. I wanna get this right.

When was the fuel filter last replaced? If the answer is "I don't know" or "More than a year ago", replace it. Is the FPR stock, or adjustable? When was it last replaced? If the answer is "I don't know" or "more than two years ago", replace it.

Ok I can buy the fuel filter tomorrow and I will have to locate the fpr. I don't know which one I have. Can anyone tell me what injectors I have by the picture I post or what fuel rail and and regulator I have???

No, we can't tell you what injectors you have from that one picture. Remove the injectors and take a few pictures of them from every possible angle, and even then we probably won't be able to tell you. You either need to know, or send them off to have them flow tested.
Replace the fuel filter. If that solves the problem, great. If not, replace the FPR.

I guess what I want to know is if the look like they have enough cc's to run a b20b properly. Even tho i don't know where they came from I was just hoping they look like b-series injectors vs. single cam.

Oh ok so I'm covered there. Just wanted to make sure that would not be a factor in my code43. I bought the fuel filter but will install it tomorrow. Is there a way to test the fpr without replacing it. Like with a vacuum gauge. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge. The new fpr is $80 rather not replace it if not necessary. I plan on selling the car.

Ok I got fuel pressure tester and hope to test today. I will let you know the results.

Looks like fuel pressure and filter spec out. So where does that leave us???

OK, so your FPR is fine.
This might sound stupid, but I've seen some dumb stuff happen here before...can you post a video of the CEL blinking for us? Just to double check the code. I've seen threads go on for multiple pages diagnosing something that wasn't even a problem before.
Do you have a friend with an OBD1 (92-95) Civic, Accord, or Prelude? Could you maybe coordinate a day off with them to borrow their injectors, reset your ECU, and see if the code goes away?

Don't worry about another ECU quite yet, just see if you can find a friend that'll let you swap injectors. You'll need to reset your ECU, but that's easy - disconnect the battery, try to start the car, then reconnect the battery.

Re: 94' lx civic/00' b20b swap - Odd code 43 help/input needed
Will the injectors that came with the b20 manifold work. I know the plugs are the same but the fuel rail was wrong because it was Rhd. But can I just swap injectors ???

Ok I wasn't sure if the fitment was the same. I'll swap those out. So first I will let it sit and warm up until the cel comes on then video the blinks. Then I'll swap injectors out and see if the code will come back.

I went to pull the code but it is not stored in the Ecu. When I jumped the connector I only got a solid light. No code would blink. So obelisk have to try to get the code to come back in tomorrow and make the video.
