93 Civic - no spark and fuel pump won't prime
Hey so my girlfriends car is having a no start issue. Its a 93 hatchback dx automatic. She was driving and pulled over for a minute and as soon as she put the car back into drive it died. The past 2 weeks we've had issues with the fuel pump relay, when the same thing would happen. So I assumed it was just that. I replaced the fuel pump relay but that's not the issue. If i turn the key to the on position (when the fuel pump should prime) but its not priming. So I checked with a test light to see if there's power at the fuel pump relay and there is power on 2 wires of it which I assume is normal. With the test light I found that there is no power at the fuel pump if the key is turned on and there's no power being sent to the fuel pump when the motor is turning over. The main relay clicks like it should and I also have tried a different main relay with no luck. I've tried pulling codes but the check engine light just constantly stays on and doesn't flash to reveal a code (with the little blue ecu plug being jumped). I've checked the ecu fuse but its fine. Then me and a friend decided to run a hot wire straight from the battery to the fuel pump. And run a ground to the body of the car off the fuel pump. With this the fuel pump turns on and seems to be working. I try turn over the car but it won't start. Im really stumped here, could it be a bad ecu? Or some sort of other fuse/relay? Please help!

Re: weird no start issue. please help
When the engine won't start, does the starter still crank the engine fine? If so, have you tried cleaning and tightening the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing?

im getting so confused, different pgmfi relay, different fuel pump relay, just tried a different ecu, cleaned all fuses in the engine compartment, including the thermostat ground. checked all the main connections on the tops of the strut towers in the motor bay and still no power to the fuel pump

Car is also getting no spark. Replaced distributor and still no spark. But there is power going to the distributor. Could something be disabling the distributor and fuel pump?

- Unplug ECU connector A.
- Turn key to ON(II).
- Ground pin A7 or A8 in the unplugged ECU connector to the metal frame under the dash.
- Does the fuel pump run?
