Default 92 Civic EX - clock reset / stereo reset - every time car starts

Hi, i have a 1992 Civic EX and every time i start the car / turn it off. the clock resets and the radio station resets. radio looses spot if im playing a song on a cd as well. i was wondering if anyone knows why this is happening? and how do i fix it? would replacing the ecu help? any feedback would be appreciated.

there is a fuse box under the hood right next to the passenger side strut tower... there should be a fuse in there i believe its called the "backup battery"

try look there, and replace the fuse..

Theres a fuse under the dash that regulates the accessory constant power... i imagine yours is blown. Replace it.

If it is an aftermarket cd player, check to make sure you wired the battery back-up correctly!! It could be a fuse problem too

Hey. I had the same problem and after looking for a few weeks wat the problem might be, i noticed that i had a postive wire touching the body of my car. That would really mess wit all my electronic stuff. Double check all ur wires. hope thi helps.
