Default 1 and 2 don't work on a/c

On the fan speed switch number 1 and 2 don't work but 3 and 4 do. Is this a problem with the switch or what. Also if it is the switch do i have to replace the whole thing? thanks for the help.

it is probably your blower motor (in the black plastic box looking thing under the dash in the passenger side.)
it sounds like it is about to go out, a new one is around 130 bucks. maybe cheaper where you are.

That symptom is usually caused by an open blower motor resistor. The resistor is mounted with 2 phillips head screws on top of the blower housing, behind the glove box. About $35 from the dealer.
