Re: 2015 Civic Type-R K20c Review
I have owned 3 DC2 Type R's and still own 2 of them. I have now driven the FK2 European Civic Type R and can say that I really like it. The handling is down right amazing fro a front wheel drive car and I say that about the DC2, but the FK2 takes it to a new level, especially in +R mode. The engine is nice and has a great deal of power without revving it to the stratosphere. In all honesty the engine feels similar to my SC61 ball bearing turbo charge B18C5 powered 88 Integra. The turbo fully spools up around 4000RPM and then feels like it has a flat torque curve from there to redline. The real difference is that you need to shift much sooner on the K20C1. The seats felt amazing both in comfort and in support and how they feel like they are sucking you in to them so you don't slide around or move around from the G-forces the car can generate.
If the CTR that we get here in the US is anything like the European one, I will getting one in a heartbeat. Of course I will not be getting rid of any of my Integras though. Hint to Acura....BRING BACK THE INTEGRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
