So I converted my SI to E85 this past weekend and loving it so far.

I was paying $2.85 for 93 and filled up with E85(105 Octane) for $2.07

The nice thing about the kit is that I can run either E85 or 93. I bought the kit from change2E85. So far my mileage only dropped around 1mpg, but I haven't taken it on a road trip yet with good highway miles. So we will see.

The motor screams with this stuff. You can def tell the difference driving between the two. I was using V-Power before. No check engine light or any other neg effects.

I just love saving .80 some cents a gallon and having 105 octane. I know I don't need 105 with my mods, but its nice to have and cheaper.

In for full review. I guess the $0.80 difference can make up for the 30% difference in chemical energy between ordinary petrol and ethanol fuel. But the 105 octane rating is definitely a plus. Do you have E85 stations readily available in your area?

I didn't know you needed any thing special to run e85. from reading the all motor forum allot of the guys run it and the only thing most of them are changing is there tune. With a newer car like the civic wouldn't the ecm make all the necessary changes?

There is a video on change2e85.com youtube page that says anything over 10% ethanol will void your warranty. Does any one have any info on what Honda's stance on e85 is? I have no problem running this stuff in my EG but i need the warranty on my FG2.

Whats not to trust? Damn the stuff is cheaper, the higher octane is a plus, and its cleaner aka take off you head and its like its been steam cleaned.

Do obd1 vehicles (honda) need this kit or just put in E85 and it runs?

if something happens due to the higher octane content of e85 you wont have warranty because the honda vehicles are designed to run off gasoline. not ethanol

Well Dave at change2E85 was very helpful on the phone with all my questions. They also have you check your connections and let them know your wire colors on the injector connectors.

Shipping was fast, 2 days for $10. Once I received it, install was a breeze. Took 20 min tops. It's basically a little box with one big wire that is about 2 feet then branches out to 4 connectors. It has another wire that connects to the Neg on the battery. The box goes between your injector and factory harness. It controls how long your injectors stay open to compensate the alcohol. So it can figure out if you have 100% E85 or a 50/50 mix or ect, ect. So I'm not locked into either E85 or gas.

So depending on your location this kit could be awesome and benefit you. I've heard some stations charge more for their E85 than 87 octane. But in my case it's almost an .80 cent difference. Now if I was boosted and it was a little more than regular I would still benefit being it is 105 octane.

Thus far mileage is good. I plan on taking a trip soon so i will keep you posted on Highway Miles. I could only image someone with some hefty mods really benefiting from E85 (Performance wise). I think mileage would be based off mods and how heavy your foot is. Now I don't know how this would work with your reflash, I'm guessing ok. Since all it does is control the injectors. But I could be WAY wrong so don't quote me on that.

And unless the dealer or Honda can PROVE that the e85 caused the damage they don't have any ground to stand on. The BURDEN of proof is on them as the law states.

Higher octane won't cause any damage.

no statoins near me. the only one is like an hour away. doesnt look to bad installed. you can hide it better if you wanted to.
