manifold and headers causing CEL problems
I have a 2008 civic lx and me and my friend just installed a greddy ti-c exhaust, aem cold air intake, weapon r race headers, and weapon r intake manifold
ever since we put on the intake manifold and the headers my CEL has been on and my car has activated a limiter on my rpms so i cant go over 4000rpms. I took it to autozone and did the diagnostics test and it read high MAPS pressure. I was wonderin if anyone knew how to fix this problem?
thanks

its the weapon r manifold. remove it and go back to stock. that thing would only be good (maybe) for turbo application. did you get the black box or what ever they call it for the manifold. also need to be tuned.

I have discovered the main problem, you have put 2 headers on a car that only requires 1. Take one off.

Wow that was really helpful
Hey bro put the intake manifold back to stock (this would be a good time to do the manifold gasket mod )

well obviously if he isnt running with a cat, its gonna throw a cel which is what i was saying first.
you can tune an r18??
oh actually you know what else could be the problem is the aem intake. those are known to throw a cel on the the fg/fa

Re: (i-VTEC_DOHC)
All three of the mods could trigger a CEL. But if the diagnostic only pulled up a high Manifold Absolute Pressure then that's probably due to the aftermarket intake manifold he has on.....which is probably what's causing his car to go limp on the rpms as well.

He probably fixed the problem or gave up on an answer from Honda-Tech. The reason for the is most of your post on HT always has sarcasim. I have nothing personal against you, I just think sometimes you are a little hard on some of the OP's. That's all.

Re: (SIVIC 3)
I'm confused here. SIVIC....were you calling BS on his mods or on his problems??
If it's on his problems.....then what good will pics do? You won't be able to SEE his problem through pictures....only the mods he has.
