improvements on 2007 civic?
what do you think they will improve on the 2007 civic? i hope they will add blue tooth for cell phone. i think it's a shame that the civic have such an advanced navi with voice recognition and yet no blue tooth support. i will also hope they add live traffic report. otherwise, i find XM radio pretty useless and pricey. beside, i only like to listen to my local radio. i hope they might add an option for HD radio. once again, i prefer my local radio over XM.

do you not have a blue tooth head device? personally i find it unecessary to add bluetooth, personally i think the bluetooth technology is rather weak anyways

Bluetooth is cool. You can add aftermarket setups, but when its OEM integrated its a really nice touch. Honda should include it with the navigation system!

If you're in the market, I wouldn't hold out for 2007 model year.
Recently Honda has taken to giving facelift revisions to models for the last two years of the run. For example, there was a 2006 model year improvement to the USDM Accord, a model that began its run in 2003 and is expected to receive its major revisions in 2008.
So I wouldn't look for anything improving on the Civic that'd make it worth waiting for 2007.
I'd agree with you that universal Bluetooth implementation would be good, but I have a few cautions about that. Before I bought my 2006 HFP Accord Coupe 6-6, I also looked at the Acura TSX and Acura TL. I liked the idea of having integral Bluetooth, but it was a problem for one of my phones.
The Acura Bluetooth worked 100% of the time with my Cingular GSM Razr, picking it up automatically every time, and transferring the call in and out correctly. However, its performance with the Verizon CDMA Razr was spotty, to say the least. The CDMA phone would have to be turned off and on, or made to manually broadcast in order for the car to find it. I don't know why...but Bluetooth isn't an easy and automatic solution 100% of the time, even in 2006.
So before you go buying a car with Bluetooth, make absolutely sure that it will find and use your phone of choice easily and seamlessly.
I can't fathom why you wouldn't like XM Radio, either. It's mind boggling at first, because there's 8 million stations and not the best documentation of how the system works. You actually have to stop and read the information that's packaged with the owners manual to get a basic idea of how it works.
Having similarly themed stations in the same range of stations is a good idea and makes it easy to find the kind of station you're looking for.
I dunno. Around here in the DC/NoVA area, and also out here in rural middle Virginia, XM Radio seems to be a big addition and makes long commuting drives much less annoying.
The biggest thing I can think of that will keep small and mid-size buyers of Honda and Acura products intensely interested for 2007 is just what Honda's intentions are for the RDX motor, the 2.3 litre turbo K motor.
The RDX is extremely nice to drive in its low HP hi-torque version, and we know that there are 300+ HP versions of this motor already in the Honda experimentation stable. The motor's basic dimensions make it a plug-in for any number of small platforms, including the CL-sized cars (Euro/UK Accord and USDM TSX).
I have a sneaking suspicion that life is now very, very intersting at Honda.
