to me that looks straight up rice...may as well add a 55 inch monster tach while you are at it. sorry but i absolutely hate it but then again it is your car. if it were mine i wouldve put a mugen rr rep rear lip with center mounted foglight.
or at least mount it IN the rear bumper like on dc integras.

I think it looks dumb imo, regardless of how functional it is. However since Ive seen a rare few of these, I give credit to the OP for sticking one on.

...rear fog light is to alert drivers to your presence on the road.. not to light up anything when you're backing up.

The idea of a rear fog lamp is to warn approaching drivers who are coming up from behind the vehicle that the car is in fact there. This was added to vehicles in Europe and Asia where the fog and rain can at times blind the drivers. The fog light is only on when the front mounted fog lights (as so equipped) are on. This prevents the rear lamp being mistaken for a damaged brake light. The regulations state that the rear fog must be mounted into the bodywork so that it cannot be damaged or removed by road debris. Hence you see these mounted into the rear bumper on vehicles equipped with these lights. The Nissan Skyline and the Mitsubishi Eclipse are vehicles that are so equipped in EDM and JDM markets.

Why would you want a rear fog? 100% of the time, it looks like a messed up tail light.

well it constitutes as rice when it is basically just screwed into the car and looks like complete dog ****. and yes the rr was released in 08, meaning that he should have done it that way so that it would look great and still be functional. i didnt even look at when the thread was made...my bad.
