Default bleeding clutch

hit 50k miles and figure it needs to be bled....but not sure of a couple of things...

one, do I just use dot 3 brake fluid?

two, is the procedure the same as for brakes? Push on pedal, open bleed screw, close bleed screw, let up pedal...repeat?

thx

I went to a pdx track day...first one with this car...and noticed it was stiff going into fourth gear. Wasnt sure if the fluid being old had anything to do with it.
ran carbotech xp10 pads and ATE super blue fluid...but boiled the fluid after the second session and had a soft pedal for the rest of the day.

here is crappy video of my fun day...might have to turn the volume down as there is an annoying clicking noise that I have no idea about from the sony action cam...
