Here are some pics of modified track-ready Civics.
This Si sedan with front and rear makeovers (I think from the Asian market Civics) did relatively well at the Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow a few weeks ago. It won its class (Street FF) at the event. From what I heard there's more parts available for the sedan, though I don't know if they mean cosmetic or performance or both.
For six footers and taller the sedan's rear room is more suitable. The rear seat of the current coupe is smaller than the first and second generation Civic coupe (1993-1995 and 1996-2000).

There has been a lot said about the coupe and sedan in this post. A lot of opinions, thoughts, and experience. I chose an Si sedan because it worked for me. The only thing you should be thinking about is what you want and what you want to do with the car.
Honda made the coupe and sedan very similar in performance because they did not want one style to just dominate sales over the other. They would lose money. I would like to see some overall data if anyone could find it, to see the overall sales of 06+ coupes compared to sedans. I see way more sedans on the road than coupes, which could translate into the public having a great interest in the sedan body style, which would lead Honda to take the next evolutionary step for the Si, turning it into a 4 door. All they really were aiming for was versitility and an attempt to compete with other imported 4 door sport sedans.
Get what you like....

Both cars are gorgeous in my mind.
Just keep in mind which car do you like the most, it's more important for a
driver to feel comfortable to drive a car they like then to drive a car
that their family/friends thinks they like or need.

Re: 09 Civic Si Sedan or Coupe
I owned a prelude before my sedan. Although I didn't use the back seats that often in the prelude, I thought it was a waste of space on a daily even with no one sitting in the back. I could hardly put anything in the back. I figure, if its going to be a 2 door car, I would rather just lose the back seats all together instead of having some half assed room. The two door just seems too 'sporty' in a sense to me. The civic in unfortunately doesn't really fit itself into that category in my eyes.

Re: 09 Civic Si Sedan or Coupe
I think the sedan is the better buy, no question.
If there was no sedan, I wouldn't have bought a new Civic at all, but rather a used TSX or TL-S, or an S2K even.
It's a great little sports sedan and I will stick by the use of that term.

Re: 09 Civic Si Sedan or Coupe
I bought a 2010 Si sedan in TW, because it looks better than the coupe IMO, and it shares the CTR platform from Japan. Just beacuse it has 4 doors doesn't mean it isn't fun, just that it can carry more. I would have gotten the coupe if it was the only version of the Si, but I am not a coupe guy. Have fun in your car, whatever the body style.
