Windshield Leak Fix?

Windshield Leak Fix?
My windshield is leaking inside the car. The glass has been replaced by the previous owner I believe, really badly. I don't have the money to replace it.
Could I use this:
3M/Window-Weld black super fast urethane 08609 - Read 2 Reviews on 3M #08609
And remove the trim molding, and lay a nice bead of this? Any better ways to do this the quick and dirty way that will get the job done for awhile?

Re: Windshield Leak Fix?
The other option I might have is to add window insurance, make a crack and force them to replace it but I'm trying to avoid that.
Do I really need to get in-between the glass and the metal? I guess when you think about it if it's not, it'll eventually just bead through.
So my only real options are to either pray that the $25 tube works, or remove the entire windshield and re-seat it?

Well I haven't removed the trim molding piece on top yet.
