I put the key in the ignition and it wont turn. It fits but will not turn. The wheel is locked but I have had several people to tell me to wiggle the wheel back and fourth and wiggle the key. THIS IS NOT WORKING WHAT SO EVER. The battery does seem to be dead because the light is very dim when you turn it on inside. I have also tried the shift lock button and that doesnt work either. Its in park as well. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are the front wheels pointed straight ahead or are they turned?

Sounds like the tumblers in the ignition switch might be a bit worn.

The wheels are turned slightly to the left.
So what parts would I need if the tumblers are worn down?

Sadly, you'd have to replace the complete ignition switch. Do you have a spare/extra key? If not, I'd try getting one of those first.

If the wheels are turned to the left, pull hard to the left on the steering wheel and try turning the key.
sometimes people turn the ignition off in drive instead of park with the wheels turned which causes it to bind up.

Could you send me a picture of what exactly an ignition switch looks like. Cuz different things are popping up when I shop. Thank you!
