I recently purchased a 2005 Civic with a 6-disc cd changer. I did not try the cd player out at the time of purchase but the am/fm is working correctly. My dilema is this: when I attempt to load the cd changer I get a flashing message "BUSY" and I can never load let alone use the cd function. Is this just an operator error or is there an easy fix? My local dealer will pull the player and send it in to be looked at for a premium but i'm hoping someone has experiance with these.

if you just bought the accessory 6 disc cd changer I don't think it is capable of reading MP3 CD's so it's just going to keep trying to read a CD that it can't understand, but if it's the Special Edition radio which has a 6 disc cd changer built in then if it just keeps saying busy it could be broken. I don't have either so these are just suggestions.

and if it's a 2005 does it have over 36,000 miles on it? if not Honda has a great deal that if you are having a problem with the radio, you call up the dealer they will try and trouble shoot it and if they can't get it to work, they will pre-order you a new radio and when it comes in they swap them out. Unlike FORD my friend has a focus and the cd player broke but the radio still worked, the dealer ripped out hte stereo, and sent it away to be fixed, a month later it came back, but in the mean time he was driving around with a gaping hole in his console. Good job Ford with it's quality is job 1...

Bring it to the dealership. The in-dash one is pretty quick working and I never had a problem when I had my 05.
