Re: (.Hatches.)
damn makes me SOOOO want to drop some cash for at least 17x9s.
i'm running 17x8 +35mm and the lip looks so puny compared to the 9.5 +38mms.
i'm just gonna get some +15mm spacers for the time being....shoudl being out my 17x8s just about as much as those 17x9.5s do on that Si.

I asked somone here that was running 8.5's if it was possible to run 9's. he said IMPOSSIBLE. but i told myself "**** that"....i gotta do it.
looks like someone is gonna beat me to it though. way to take the plunge. im shopping around for 17X9's right now. I got a japanese hook up.
when i get back from kuwait at the end of the summer i'll post it up.

If you really want the RPF1s to fit nice, I would say 17x9 +45 would work just fine. The rim is slimmer and the offset is higher. So you should have more clearance.
Plus, you would get the concave spoke design compared to the 17x8s

I really like the 9.5"s and how they have more of a lip.
Do you know if the 8.5" RPF1s have a similar effect as the 9" RPF1s?
I'd be getting 8.5" +30mm or 9" +35mm.....

depends on the offset. your example above is close. 8.5's +30 could have almost the same lip as 9's +35. the difference between these two is ALMOST 1/2 in. to pull off the same lip as 9's +35 you'd have to get 8's +20.
someone correct me if i'm wrong but im pretty sure im right.
i've been doing TONS of research to make sure i can pull off 9's. offset's are my life right now.
EDIT: whoops forgot you said 8.5's...with that width you need +28

You and JET seem to be correct. The 8" Enkeis just do NOT have a lip at all.
The 17x8 +35mm on the FG2 on the first page, the lip looks nonexistent!
That's the size I'm running on my DC5 right now, and while it doesn't look that bad,
the RPF1s look 10x better with more lip.
Not to mention I can fit a wider wheel up front anyway due to my camber,
so I will eventually get a pair 17x9 +35mm up front.
For now I'm getting some 15mm spacers for the front to use w/ my 17x8 +35mm...

this setup will pull of a 9's +35 "look". as far as how far out the edge of the rim is pushed out.
i've been jumping back and forth between which rim i want to run. i found some WORKS that are 9's +35 but im also looking at some advans that are 7.5 +46. the advans aren't wide by any means but i'd rock a +15mm spacer to give it a wider stance....i just like the actual look of the advan wheels compared to the 9in WORKS im looking at. im torn between the two.
there are just too many options/combinations
