hi guys,
i have a problem i have an 85 accord and gas is in the carburetor, every time i start it up it will run but after a while it will idle funny then shut off. What should i do??

Never had an 85, however on an 87 LX carb I did have the needle/seat on the float bowl go bad. I believe the FP is hot all the time (was on the 87), so with the key on is there gas entering the carb throat? I think that is what you are referring to in the OP "Gas is in the carb".
I tried adjusting the float level first but that didn't solve the problem, seat was bad. I was able to remove just the top of the carb, still on engine, and move the float out of the way and replaced the needle/seat. New gasket at the top of the carb and done. Been running fine for ~3 years.
