window regulator replacement question
im sitting here looking through the haynes manual for my 91 accord and it says to remove the regulator you have to roll the window glass down until you see the bolts. my problem is that the window only goes down 1/2 - 3/4"(motor or regulator problem). is there anyway to get the window low enough to get at the bolts? i am also wondering if anyone knows where to get replacement seals for the door. i think the seals are another reason the window is broken to begin with. the rubber has gotten kinda of sticky to the touch and armor-all and other cleaning products havent seemed to do anything.
the specific window is the front driver side door.
if a mod reads this can you take away the @yahoo from my name. i guess i put that there by accident.

Re: window regulator replacement question (ndrew2505@yahoo.com)
i was able to force the window down to get to the bolts but once i got the new regulator in(came with motor) the window worked long enough for me to figure out it wasnt aligned right then just stopped working. im not sure if its the switch or the regulator. it feels like the motor on the regulator does get a little warm when trying to use the switch. any help troubleshooting would be greatful!

Hotwire the motor, two wire plug, directly to a spare battery with some jumper wires, see if it works like that, if its good, then the motor and regulator are good, look for broken wire in harness near the door hinges then a bad switch.
