Default wheel weights

anyone know how much the honda accord '01 coupe EX alloy wheels weigh? I want to compare it to how much weight reduction I'll get from 18lb. 18" rotas.

its not so much the weight as it is dimentional inertia, the further out away from the center of the rim where all the weight will be the more inertia meaning the wheels will soak up so much power to get rolling and stay rolling, IMO i would not get 18's i would spend the money elsewhere

yeah I had thought about that too...I was originally planning on staying with 15" but 18" would look pretty sweet....probably not worth it though, my kord needs all the help it can get so staying 15" would be better I suppose

contrary to popular beleif this is your best choice, you can make 15's look good on your accord too, it has a better tire selection and offers more performance

I do like how my stock wheels look but yeah I should get some that will improve my performance, and I don't know much but I guess width will help out my handling in that area without adding much weight. Plus, gunmetal would look so tight on my silver car...new wheels here I cooooome! Any suggestions for brands/measurements?

ok in that case you can go 15x7 with 205/55/15's
or you can get a bit sillier like me and get 16x7's or 8" 225/45/16 =D

i have 15 x 7
you would need a pretty big offset to fit 15 x 8 right?

You dont need 8" wide wheels to run 225s, you can stick them on 7"s. 15x6.5 Prelude wheels from the 4th gen fit 225 tires.

nick...6.5" width wheels will not stretch the tire out to its fullest contact area so 7 or 7.5"

True, but it works, and the wheels are cheap...
