Power Window Stuck

Power Window Stuck
I have a 1990 Accord. Today, I tried rolling up the window and it stopped half way and made an aweful sound. I tried roll it back down and it moved 3 inches and made the same aweful sound. So now the window is 1/2 open and will only move up/down in a range of 3 inches. BTW< this is a driver side window if it makes a difference. Anyone have any ideas as to what happend?

I'm having the same damn problem, but it goes up ok. Check it out. When you roll the window down check the rubber around where the window goes down, is it getting cuaght up and stopping the window? If so then there's your problem.

Re: Power Window Stuck (cosmicjim)
the glass is stuck on a rough spot on the rubber track. Pour water via hose or bottle down the window-sill all along the rubber weatherstrip to 'wet' the rubber inside the door. Open it up alittle with your hand. Make the glass go up and down a couple times and when you feel like its soaked...use one hand to pull the glass up while using your other hand to activate the window switch up. It will work...just don't ever roll down that window again past that rough spot (unless you want to replace the rubber track at some point).
