Default Massive Oil Leak.

So out of nowhere my winter beater started to smoke like a bonfire. So I get underneath and peek around. There is oil dripping from between the engine, and the circular thing the oil filter screws onto. The Oil is dripping on the exhaust manifold and of course then burning off.

I tried changing the oil filter but the leak is between the engine and the circular plate thing the filter screws to. Can I change the plate out?

IF you have an EX, that "thing" is called an oil cooler adapter.
It should have two hoses attached to it.
It is held onto the block by a hollow bolt to which the oil filter attached.

Either
1) The seal to the block has failed and requires replacing or
2) One of the attached hoses has failed or
3) The Oil Pressure sender (located just above this whole mess) has failed or
4) You double-gasketed your oil filter

I'm not quite certain, but I think its a 1993 Accord EX.

Its leaking between the block and the oil cooler adapter. Its probably the seal because the two hoses that are coming out of it aren't leaking (I checked)

Its leaking between the oil cooler adapter and the block at the lowest point. I can clearly see the oil coming from the crease where the two pieces of metal meet. What size wrench/socket will I need to take off the hollow bolt that the filter is attached to?
